While I am no astrologer, my daughter was born out of nowhere on a Friday the 13th under a Strawberry Supermoon. I believe the energetic alignment of the planets has a measurable effect on my sanity reserves. I believe the tide of a full moon can initiate uterine contractions. And while I know nothing of Mercury Retrogrades celestial significance, 80% of the texts I send out during this station feature post-send-button regret or lead to phenomenal cases of misunderstanding.
Now, let’s learn about astrology together, shall we?!

NEW MOON IN SAGITARRIUS
According to Chani:
During a New Moon, Luna joins together with the Sun forming a symbolic rebirth moment. Becuase the Moon is so close to the Sun during a New Moon, its light disappears from our sky. This shift leaves us in the fertile dark of a fresh beginning: an idea, a mission accepted, a seed unfurling in the earth.
This New Moon happens to be in Sagittarius.
Sagittarius is the zodiac sign whose arrangement in the sky most resembles the archer’s bow. Although I cannot tell you exactly according to whom. HOWEVER because Saggitarius is a fire sign (and I know my fellow fire signs well) let’s just say that the alignment for this week, offers…
an invitation to imbue the Dream Seeds of future growth with the warming embers of enthusiasm.
Or at least, let that stand as the codeified novice translation.
But What Exactly Is a Zodiac Sign?
According to the internets:
Zodiac signs are not actual constellations themselves, but rather a system of 12 divisions along the ecliptic path of the sun, with each division named after a constellation that appears prominently in that section of the sky; essentially, the Babylonians created the concept of the zodiac by dividing the sky into 12 equal parts and naming each section after a visible constellation. (Annnnnd now I can’t get this song out of my head —> See: Babylon by David Gray)
Journal Prompt for the New Moon: Dream Seeds
What bold steps am I willing to take in service of my dreams?
PART ONE For 3 minutes, free write on 3 Big Dreams you haven’t ever said out loud for fear of sounding ridiculous.
PART TWO Set a timer for 3 more minutes. Divide your paper into 3 short-stack columns. At the top of each column, write a dream.
In each column, write down 2 low risk action steps you’d be willing to take this week in the direction of your dream.
PART THREE Choose the dream that makes you the most excited, the one your heart pounds at the thought of. Copy the action steps for that dream into your TO DO LIST or your NOTES or however you structure your tasks
PART FOUR Set your timer for one minute. Close your eyes and imagine yourself having achieved this dream. How does your face look? What are you wearing? What are you feeling? Who are you with?
PART FIVE BONUS POINTS: CONNECTION Forward this email to a friend. Ask them to join in the New Moon fun this week. Be eachother’s dream seed accountability partners. Mark a calendar date where you will meet and celebrate together with ice cream, the completion of action items, and the movement towards your dreams.
EXAMPLE: Let’s say these are my three Dream Seeds:
Write a novel
Stop drinking alcohol (for good)
Fill my January Masterclass
Column One:
NOVEL
Action steps:
Create a Google Doc. Name it Novel. Open it.
Write one paragraph per day, five days this week. (As you start to feel the momentum of this creative act, you will naturally want to write more. We start where we are).
Column Two:
QUIT DRINKING
Action steps:
Start a drinking log. Each morning, track how many drinks I had the night before, what triggered me to take them, and how I feel about having them, and how my body feels that morning.
Start listening to “This Naked Mind” on audiobook or buy the book. Take notes on what I find.
Column Three:
MASTERCLASS
Action steps:
Record a short video talking about why the masterclass is important
Create a Flodesk workflow highlighting the core content covered and the transformation it offers.

And this is how we make the unseen, seen.
“A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true.”
